Mauritius: What You Need to Know About Corona Examinations

The Republic of Mauritius cancels the PCR screening for all travelers arriving in Mauritius, as it previously required travelers to present a negative screening result within 72 hours prior to departure. The Ministry of Health and Wellness has dropped this requirement as of March 12, 2022.
This move will make it easier for both business and leisure travelers to visit Mauritius, which is warmly welcomed by the travel and hospitality sector in Mauritius.
Demand for visiting Mauritius from tourists and business travelers has soared after the reopening of its borders to international travel since last October, which coincided with the easing of travel restrictions in several major markets of Mauritius.
Travelers choose Mauritius for its beaches, mountains, lakes and business opportunities but also for its safety and security. As it stands, 90% of adults in Mauritius are fully vaccinated and a booster campaign is in full swing.
Arvind Bandon, Director of Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority, said: “We are pleased that the Ministry of Health and Wellness has reviewed the health protocol for visitors to Mauritius. This automatically makes the experience of traveling to Mauritius much easier and simpler, and we expect an additional boost to the number of tourists as the demand for travel to Mauritius is currently increasing. ."
